I'm going to introduce my passionate hobby, the minibottle collection, but partially me as well.My collection beginnings date back to 1970 when I brought my father the very first minibottle - Vodka Kord. He hadn't drunk it but placed it in the living room, therefore he laid the basis of my collection which has been spread wide into the unbelievable size during the next 52 years.
From the early beginnings there was no problem to store the bottles but later on the trouble came. This was solved radically when I got married and got a new flat. We replaced nad moved the furniture several times and finally found the best solution, thought. All the minibottles are displayed, even if it looks huge it doesn't obstruct the space.
I get the new bottles by buying, changing but also as a gift from my relatives. But the beginnings were very difficult, because during the former regime they could only be obtained from Hungary, Poland, Germany or Russia.
If I wanted the minibottles from the west part of the world I had to go to Prague, either to the French shop or to the airport Ruzyn.
Later on, the situation got better and I found the collectors in Germany, Canada or Australia. Because I wanted to have the most ideal statistics about each of my bottle, I let to create an personal file according to my idea.
I used my typewriter to fill in each column. Later, the computer era started. Now, I have all the evidence in the computer.
It is easier but effective and more creative work. I created the programme for the statistics, evidence and the presentation itself.
From 1973 I was a member of KSK (Rarity club collector) centered in Prague. There was also the size of the collections stated.
My collection has been the biggest one in Slovakia for over 15 years.
I am not in the club at this moment, but it still belongs to the greatest ones in Slovak republic.
My collection work and also the collection itself has been presented several times in different programmes, magazines and newspapers.
I am fully dedicated to my hobby and I would like to prove that the alcohol is not only for the consumption. When we say acohol everyone thinks about the problems in the family, work, on the roads. But my collection proves that the life also brings the joy. The joy for the heart and the beauty for the eyes.
